Why Almoosa School of Nursing?

Why Almoosa School of Nursing?

To achieve the college objective, the college established an agreement with a world-renowned global advisory service, Partners HealthCare System (PHS), the leading integrated academic health system in the United States. Partners HealthCare International (PHI), and MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP), components of the Partners HealthCare System, in Boston, MA, USA, are the principal collaborators for this project. This collaboration aims to develop an innovative curriculum for the nursing program, advance faculty professional development, and ensure continuous quality improvement planning.

The curriculum developed after several meetings and workshops, including virtual discussions with national and international experts in curriculum design. A task force was formulated and met for three consecutive days, from October 2nd to October 4th, 2018 at Almoosa Health Specialty Hospital to review the results of the above meetings and involve all stakeholders (national and international nursing experts, employers, nursing graduates, nurse managers, nursing educators, and a community representative) in the curriculum design process. Besides, the college signed a contract with Prince Sattam University for collaboration, exchange of expertise, curriculum development, and benchmarking.
