Registration & Scheduling Process

  1. The least academic load is twelve (12) credit hours during a regular semester, and the maximum academic load is (20) credit hours. In case a student needs to add courses, she should get approval from ACHS Dean.
  2. Each student will receive an email via SIS from her Academic Advisor.
  3. To add \drop a course, the student should obtain prior approval from the Academic Advisor and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
  4. Students’ attendance will be monitored from the first day of the semester and recorded in the data system.
  5. Students who, under exceptional circumstances, are unable to complete a semester, should submit an official letter detailing the reasons of their inability to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and get written approval from the College committee.
  6. Students and instructors’ schedules will be sent via the Student Information System (SIS).

Student Orientation Program

The orientation program is mandatory for all new students to promote their academic success. Orientation is designed to provide new students with valuable information they will need for their academic success. Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to communicate with professional faculty and staff and socialize with their peers. By the end of the day, students will feel more accustomed to their new surroundings and will make many new friends. New Students Orientation is a one-day mandatory program.

Academic Counseling

Upon admission to the College, all students will be notified about their academic counselor. Every student will be assigned an Academic Counselor who is available to answer questions about courses and programs which are related to the following:

  • Academic advice, course selection
  • Course changes, withdrawals, drop and add courses and individual permissions
  • Progress requirements and mandatory withdrawals
  • Academic progress reviews and academic issues
  • Appeal procedures/interpretation of ACHS regulations
  • Graduation related matters
  • Counseling appointments
  • Meeting new students
  • Students must attend their academic counselor meeting and abide by any decision made regarding her study plan.

Students Records

Every student has her confidential data file and financial documentation saved in ACHS. Confidential student files are kept in the Academic Affairs Department and Administrative Department.
